As the indoors season rolls along, Team Total Sports athletes continue to perform well globally.
Millrose Games, New York, USA (World Tour)
Alicia Monson (USA/ON Running) hits her stride winning the 3000m in dominating fashion. Monson set the American Record and ran a world-leading time of 8:25.05. Neil Gourley (GBR/Under Armour) continued to roll through the indoor season the 6th fastest indoor mile all-time (3:49.46), while placing 2nd in the Wanamaker Mile. Katie Snowden (GBR/Under/Armour) had another great week as she became the 3rd fastest British athlete all-time in the indoor mile with her mark of 4:21.19, placing 3rd in the Wanamaker Mile. Geordie Beamish (NZL/ON Running) also set a National Record of 7:36.22 in the 3000m.
Orlen Copernicus Cup – Torun, POL (World Tour)
George Mills (GBR/ON Running) continued his excellent season placing second in the 1500m with the 6th fastest time in the World 3:35.92.
Meeting Mondeville – Mondeville, FRA
Michael Dickson (USA) has continued to roll in the 60H in France. He won his second straight meet by .14 in 7.56 the 11th fastest time in the world. Morolake Akinosun (USA/adidas) placed second in the 60m in a tight race by .02.
Meeting de Paris – Paris, FRA
Michael Dickson (USA) placed 2nd, losing his first race in Europe, but equaling his personal best of 7.53 which currently world no. 7.
World Cross Country Championships – Bathurst, AUS
Team Total athletes Jessica Hull (AUS/Nike) and Abbey Caldwell (AUS/Puma) made up 50% of the female side of the 3rd place mixed relay team.
US Indoor Championships – Albuquerque, USA
Sam Prakel (adidas) picked up the 1500m/3000m double, leading Team Total athletes Eduardo Herrera JR. (Under Armour) and Olin Hacker (Hoka NAZ Elite) to a 1-2-3 sweep of the 3k. Also winning for Team Total was Val Constien in the 3000m and Freddie Crittenden III (Phoenix Track Club/Tracksmith) in the 60H in a new personal best and world #4 time of 7.49.
British Indoor Championships – Birmingham, UK
Team Total athletes left their mark at the British Championships in the middle distance and distance events. On the men’s side, they swept the first two spots in the1500m with Neil Gourley (Under Armour) leading the way with the win followed by George Mills (On Running) in second. In the women’s 1500m Katie Snowden (Under Armour) placed second. James West (New Balance) took the top spot in the men’s 3000m, while Hannah Nuttall (New Balance) placed 2nd in the women’s 3000m.
