The Wellington Phoenix have made their maiden move in the women’s international transfer market, securing a player with experience in one of the world’s top leagues.
The Phoenix have signed American attacking midfielder Hope Breslin for the 2023-24 Liberty A-League.
Breslin, 24, was Angel City FC’s first-ever draft pick in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), and made eight appearances for the Los Angeles club last year, before moving to the Houston Dash, where she’s recently been on a national team replacement contract.
