Melissa Jefferson-Wooden continues perfect 100m season; takes down Richardson and Fraser-Pryce

Melissa Jefferson-Wooden continued her perfect season over 100m, winning at the Brussels Diamond League in 10.76s.

The 24-year-old beat defending World Champion and 2024 Olympic silver medalist Sha’Carri Richardson, who finished second (11.08s).

Legendary Jamaican sprinter, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, was fourth in 11.17s. The significance is a first career win, at the fourth attempt, for Jefferson-Wooden versus Fraser-Pryce. She has beaten Richardson in all three of their meetings this season, and defeated Olympic champion Julien Alfred at the Pre Classic back in July.
